Writing a Comic Book Poem – Garden

Garden is a Comic Book Poem that focuses on growth and time. It is also about distance. With this text I feel that we are taken into a fantasy world when power and strength comes with time. This is emphasised with the comparison to a tree, which takes time to grow.

The sentence of the Comic Book Poem may actually contradict this are we are reminded that time is not infinite. It is important to act on things and not wait for life and events to happen.

Garden
So I pushed, pushed you away,
with the bleak garden earth
that wouldn’t mother the apple tree.
But the seed sat safe,
taking its time. Holding the energy
to finally sprout
When it is never too late
