Illustrating a Comic Book Poem – Black Fact

Black Fact was a great Comic Book Poem to illustrate. I was heavily influenced by zines and zine culture and also underground comics. I wanted something simple and precise – therefore the first page only has four panels.

The second page is almost a splash page. When the reader turns over (or clicks over) they are revealed with a large dark mass, but also a tree. Here we see a contrast and this is what I wanted to convey in the visuals.
