Illustrating a Comic Book Poem – Appropriation Part 3

For Appropriation Part 3 I responded to the poem which had a theme of confusion. The text also refers to fashion. For Appropriation Part 1 and Appropriation Part 2 I took images from my archive to appropriate them to the Comic Book Poem. I have carried on the theme here and have taken fashion illustrations from my archive to make up the panels of the Comic Book Poem.

I chose images that I felt reflected the theme of confusion and had an experimental and abstract feel. To further emphasise this I made use of different fonts, sizes and styles with the lettering. Overall I think Appropriation Part 3 carries on the atypical approach to comic book storytelling that Comic Book Poems attempt to do.
