Illustrating a Comic Book Poem – Appropriation Part 2

As stated in the Writing a Comic Book Poem – Appropriation Part 2 blog post I was working with found poetry that I wrote down from over hearing podcasts. The idea was then to go through my archive of previously created artwork and find images that could relate to the text.

I had been creating images based on illustrating on top of old photographs and postcards. I thought that those images were abstract enough to be presented as panels for Appropriation Part 2. I believe that this also emphasises the theme of appropriation as I was reusing and appropriating photographs. In total there will be 4 Comic Book Poems in the Appropriation mini-series. I will take a similar approach for all 4 Comic Book Poems.
