Comic Book Poems Manifesto

Creating a Comic Book Poem is a satisfying and creative task. However to ensure the quality and standard that is needed a Manifesto has been written as a set of loose (and often broken) guidelines have been written. This is a Manifesto, setting out what the Comic Books Poems project can and should achieve.

  • Each Comic Book Poem should look to experiment in ways to present words on a page.
  • Each Comic Book Poem should be designed to be delivered online
  • Each Comic Book Poem should convey an emotion.
  • Each Comic Book Poem should attempt to represent a different visual style.
  • Each Comic Book Poem should present structure and form in new and novel ways.
  • Text and words have to work together.
  • Each Comic Book Poem should engage the reader through visuals.
  • Comic Book Poems should be enjoyed by both male and female readers.
  • Comic Book Poems should be written for mature audiences in mind.
  • Comic Book Poems can also be potentially enjoyed by children.
  • Comic Book Poems can be of any length.
